Cowichan Lake, Vancouver Island, BC
Cowichan Lake Education Centre nestles among 42 acres of Douglas Fir
forest with 600 feet of secluded shoreline on one of Vancouver Islands
largest lakes. Golden sand beach, crystal clear water, canoes available,
easy hiking trails accessible. The centre is located at the West Coast
gateway to the Carmanah-Walbran Provincial Park, (about 60 miles north
of Victoria, BC and 60miles south of Nanaimo, BC.)
Cowichan
Lake Education Centre is located on Vancouver Island just off Highway
18 which cuts across the Trans Canada Highway slightly north of Duncan,
BC, an hour north of Victoria by car.
Traveling
by Car:
If you are traveling by car, and do not live on Vancouver Island, there
are three ferry options you can use. Check departure times and locations
at the following sites:
From BC Mainland to Vancouver Island
From the Olympic Peninsula, Washington (Port
Angeles to downtown Victoria )
From
Anacortes, Washington to Sydney, BC (40 min south of Victoria)
Arriving by Plane or Train:
If you arrive by plane or train, you can take the Pacific Coach Lines
bus from the airport or train station to downtown Victoria. You will
need to arrange for transportation from Victoria to Lake Cowichan. Ride
contact information will be provided upon receipt of your registration.
